The First Day of School is right around the corner!
We have several small projects and can use your help.
We need all our Alumni and community members to come out and support our school and get it ready to go.

No action is required by parents for students to eat free. Please note the first complete meal is free, however extra plates or items must be purchased. Barry Kerr (Small Group Counselor), Bridget Perkins (School Based Mental Health Therapist), and Ashley Seaborn (Mental Health Services Coordinator - not shown) were recognized at today's board meeting for Mental Health Awareness Month. We are grateful to have them!

Senior River Poe was 1 of 4 students recognized today at the Marion County Board of Education for their excellence in the classroom and on the ACT. River has a composite 31 on the ACT and plans to attend The University of North Alabama in the Fall of 2024.



Faculty vs Students basketball game ended in a decisive victory for the Faculty and a lot of soreness today. As the late Toby Keith said, "I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was."




Help us congratulate junior, Tiana Thrasher, on receiving a $5000 scholarship to participate in the Rural Health Scholars Program at The University of Alabama this summer. The amount will cover tuition for seven hours, room, board, and books. We are all so proud of Tiana and this opportunity.

Due to the threat of severe weather, all Marion County Schools will be delayed two hours tomorrow, Thursday, May 9th. Be weather aware and stay safe!

7th & 8th grade field trip for attendance and academic improvement to Lauderdale Lanes in Florence. We don't ask you to be perfect we just ask you to do your best. I believe the saying is "do your best and nothing less."









PHS Spring Play, "13 Ways to Ruin a College Interview", will be performed tonight in the Attie Fleming Building at 6:00. Come out and support these students and fine arts at Phillips High School.
