We are learning so much at literacy/math summer camp this year! Post 2

Mrs. Wilson has challenged her 4-5 grade summer math camp students to an iReady competition to go along with their Math is an Art activities. In just 11 days, her students have passed 21 reading lessons and 17 math lessons with an 80% or higher. They have earned a pizza party and are working on an ice cream sundae party! Way to go kiddos!

Thank You 3M of Guin for your generous donation of 5 brand new IPads to Phillips Elementary School. Our students were so excited to use them!

Have a safe and fun summer break!

This week, Mrs. Watts and Mrs. Misner have kept the learning going strong with their classes. They exploded a watermelon and the students predicted the amount of force that was going to be needed for it to happen.
Then, they did a water bottle flip challenge. Students had to fill their bottles using fractions and discussed which amount of water was better for the bottle flip by looking at the data that was collected. ❤️🐻
