Our Phillips Elementary teachers spent time today learning and collaborating during professional development with the Kids First WIN Writing Program! We are excited to strengthen our writing instruction and bring new strategies back to our classrooms to help our students become confident, capable writers. 📝❤️

Some great professional learning has been taking place at Phillips Elementary! We enjoyed our time with Dr. Layne Dillard and Mrs. Jennifer Warhurst.
Our students were recently treated to a day of fun in celebration of their hard work on ACAP and iReady! Students in grades 3-6 who scored a level 3 or 4 on proficiency or growth on the ACAP and students in grades 1-2 who met their target growth score on iReady were able to participate in a day of free play, water slides, putt putt golf, and a dunking booth. A big thank you to Jump'n Jack Parties for bringing the fun!
Congratulations are in order for perfect attendance for Mrs. Misner's first grade class and Mrs. Campbell's kindergarten class!
A big congratulations to our very own Edalys and Jose Cintron Vega! Eda and Jose were recently recognized by the board of education for earning a score of 4.8 or higher on the WIDA ACCESS assessment and for successfully fulfilling all requirements to exit the English Learner Program.

All Marion County Schools' students will dismiss 1/2 day tomorrow, September 16th, for a professional development/teacher workday. Buses will run at 11:30.

This new and exciting opportunity provides our teachers with professional development and materials to produce a Disney KIDS musical right here in our school community.
