February 15th is National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day. HMS is proud and thankful for our SRO, Officer Scottie Belue. Officer Belue goes above and beyond to protect our students, faculty, and staff. He has developed positive relationships with everyone and is also a great mentor and role model for students. When selecting gifts to send to school, please keep in mind that students will be responsible for carrying their own items. All Marion County Schools will be closed Monday, January 20, for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Tomorrow, January 13th, all Marion County Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay. All buses will run approximately 2 hours later than normal, and classes will begin 2 hours later than usual. This will allow shaded areas more time to clear before school in the morning. Be safe!

Tomorrow begins exams for our 7th and 8th grade students only. Students who are exempt from exams are excused from attendance. 5th and 6th grade WILL have school through Friday.
