School will resume for Marion County students on Thursday, August 7th, and motorists will be sharing the road with school buses once again. Please allow additional time in your daily commute to accommodate more traffic, including buses, on the roadways. Our Transportation Department operates with our children’s safety as its number one priority. Please help them keep our children safe by keeping a watchful eye for school buses and being mindful of the law which pertains to them.

We’re cheering on HMS 5th grader Avery McCullough as she competes in the annual Pig Squeal tomorrow — good luck, Avery!
The Pig Squeal brings together 4-H students from across the region to showcase and auction pigs they’ve raised since January. It’s more than just a show — it’s a hands-on lesson in animal care, responsibility, and dedication.
Avery is one of 10 Marion County participants this year, and she’s been working hard every day to prepare. We’re proud of all her effort and wish her the best in the ring!
