
National School Breakfast Week celebrates the importance of a nutritious school breakfast in fueling students for success. This special observance celebrates the National School Breakfast Program and the many ways it gives kids a great start every day.

All Marion County Schools will operate on a regular schedule tomorrow, February 20, 2025.


Due to a Winter Weather Advisory, ALL Marion County Schools will be closed tomorrow, February 19th.


Mrs. Misner's 3rd graders have been working hard on fractions. They've placed fractions on number lines, found equivalent fractions, and compared fractions.






Mrs. Gray's 2nd graders had some Friday math fun and worked on their geometry skills by working to organize shapes by their attributes!





We are super proud of our teams that played in this great tournament!
Our 8u Boys wrapped up their basketball season Saturday with an undefeated record of 11-0 and were named Franklin County Youth League Champions 🏀🐻
Our 10u Girls were runner up in the girls 10u League Championship

All Marion County Schools will be closed Monday, February 17, 2025 in honor of Presidents' Day.


Notes for Valentine's Day....
❤️Valentines may be dropped off from 8 am- 1 pm
❤️all valentines must include student name, grade, and teacher name
❤️if your child receives a balloon or something in glass, those items will NOT be allowed on the bus. Please make arrangements for your child to be a car rider or those items will be left at school.


Pre-K and Kindergarten used Groundhog Day, the animal show, and the Super Bowl this week to collect real-world data.

Mrs. Gray's 2nd graders are working with adding and subtracting 3-digit numbers within 1,000. They used concrete models to represent their 3-digit numbers, and Mrs. Gray connected 3-digit addition to their prior learning of 2-digit addition using the number line strategy.






Last week our teachers participated in 2 days of professional development. We learned how to use proficiency scales more effectively, analyzed data, and unpacked the standards from the Alabama Course of Study to ensure that we are understanding the expectations of the standards to plan for instruction. Thank you to everyone for all of the hard work!

National School Counseling Week recognizes the vital roles school counselors play in the lives of students. School counselors provide a wealth of support throughout a student's academic career. We are thankful for our amazing school counselors, and we appreciate the job they do!
