A big thank you to our non-profit organization, Community Partners for Education (CP4E), for purchasing unifix cubes and headphone adapters for our 1st grade and Kindergarten classes. These items will allow our students to use headphones with their iPads, and the unifix cubes with be used to help math activities be easier for little hands. Visit CP4E on Facebook to see how you can help put items in the hands of our little learners.

The ESL Team—Ana Colburn, Charlotte Howell, Reba Hill, and Vickie Johnson—joined Hamilton Elementary Principal Mr. Gary McCarley for an in-depth professional development session on the ELLevation platform. This training focused on using ELLevation’s powerful tools to track student growth, strengthen collaboration, and enhance instruction for multilingual learners.
Their participation reflects Marion County Schools’ ongoing commitment to excellence in providing the highest quality education for every student.

Statement from the Superintendent: It is with deep sadness that I share the news of the passing of one of our beloved Hackleburg Elementary teachers, Lesley McCollum. She was a valued member of our school community whose dedication, compassion, and commitment to students left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Our hearts go out to Lesley’s family, friends, colleagues, and students during this incredibly difficult time. We will continue to honor Lesley’s legacy in the days ahead. Here is the early numeracy math task calendar for the month of October! Parents of students in grades k-1, post a picture of your child completing one of the activities and Mrs. Wilson will stop by your child's classroom with a treat! Completing 1 activity per night will help build and support your child's mathematical foundation. ❤️🐻
