Presidents' Day
Deliveries for Valentine's Day will be allowed this year. All deliveries should be made no later than 1:00 p.m. to allow us time to get items to students. Please remember that students are not allowed to take balloons or glass on the school bus. Happy Valentine’s Day from HMS! #HMSStrong🐾❤️

🐾☕️Mr. Knight's class started their new business, Hamilton Middle Mugs Exceptional Coffee, today. The new coffee company serves HMS Teachers. The coffee cart is self sustaining and all profits go toward students' needs. We are so excited about this new adventure! ☕️🐾

We wanted to update parents on what HMS is doing to make certain our students are taken care of during this crisis. Out of an abundance of caution, students are not using the water in bathrooms to wash their hands. We are providing bottled water and hand sanitizer to meet that need. Our toilets are all working. Water fountains are turned off, and students are being given bottled water to drink. We will continue to do everything in our power to keep our kiddos safe and going through as normal a routine as possible. #HMSStrong 🐾❤️

A huge shoutout to the lunch ladies at the HMS/HHS lunchroom as they are working hard as we negotiate through this crisis. These ladies are hauling water in so they can cook and clean safely. Below is an update from the lunchroom detailing what they are doing to keep our kiddos safe and fed. Thank you, ladies! We appreciate you! #HMSStrong 🐾❤️ From HMS/HHS Lunchroom: We are using the big container for cleaning and washing dishes. The regular size bottles of water are being given to the students in place of the water fountain. The other bottles of water are being used for cooking and food preparation. Students are using disposable plates and silverware.

Great news! We will be able to reopen schools in the morning, Tuesday, January 23rd. We will delay the start time one hour in the morning. If the bus usually picks your children up at 7:00, they will be picked up in the morning at 8:00. Welcome back!

schools reopen
Due to continued icy conditions on many of our secondary county roads and water issues in many areas of the county, all Marion County Schools will be closed tomorrow, January 22nd. Hopefully everything will thaw tomorrow as the temperatures warm into the 50's.
