•When we return from Christmas break, a phone call and text will be sent to the first two PowerSchool contacts for any student who is absent that day. You should expect to receive that call between 9:20 a.m. and 9:45 a.m.
•Please remember that although absences for exams are counted by semester, the number of absences for truancy is for the entire school year.
o When a student is absent, an excuse must be turned in within 3 days of the student’s return to school.
o Once a student has reached 10 absences, all absences after that will only be excused with a medical or legal excuse.

🚗 GES Morning Drop-Off Reminder 🚗
Parents, we need your help keeping our students safe in the mornings!
We’ve had a few situations where students were dropped off in the front parking lot and the driver pulled away. With buses, Pre-K traffic, and staff vehicles all moving at the same time, this creates a serious safety concern.
👉 All car-riders must be dropped off at the back of the school starting at 7:30am until the tardy bell at 7:46.
This is the designated area for safe morning drop-off.
👉 After 7:46 -If you choose to drop your child off in the front you MUST park and physically walk them to the front and sign them in.
No student should be walking through the parking lot alone.
Thank you for helping us keep every student safe. We appreciate your cooperation and support! ❤️🚌🚸
