🚗 GES Morning Drop-Off Reminder 🚗 Parents, we need your help keeping our students safe in the mornings! We’ve had a few situations where students were dropped off in the front parking lot and the driver pulled away. With buses, Pre-K traffic, and staff vehicles all moving at the same time, this creates a serious safety concern. 👉 All car-riders must be dropped off at the back of the school starting at 7:30am until the tardy bell at 7:46. This is the designated area for safe morning drop-off. 👉 After 7:46 -If you choose to drop your child off in the front you MUST park and physically walk them to the front and sign them in. No student should be walking through the parking lot alone. Thank you for helping us keep every student safe. We appreciate your cooperation and support! ❤️🚌🚸

Statement from the Superintendent: It is with deep sadness that I share the news of the passing of one of our beloved Hackleburg Elementary teachers, Lesley McCollum. She was a valued member of our school community whose dedication, compassion, and commitment to students left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Our hearts go out to Lesley’s family, friends, colleagues, and students during this incredibly difficult time. We will continue to honor Lesley’s legacy in the days ahead. Please join us in keeping her loved ones in your thoughts. — Patrick Sutton
