Big THANK YOU to David and Cindy Copeland for cleaning up and removing some of our damaged, dead, and overgrown trees around campus. We’ve got a clean slate now and plans to continue renovations to the front area of the school. PHS has secured a grant from NW Alabama RC&D to update the fencing on the front of the school. We are currently seeking estimates but know that we will need additional funds to complete the project. Any help is greatly appreciated.

PHS is so excited to show off our new media package. The media backdrop, vertical banners, and table cloth were all made possible with funding from the Bryant-Jordan Foundation. Pictured here is Katelyn Frazier, who was the 2022 Class 1A Achievement Award Winner. Thank you to Athletic Director Chris Gillum for the design and artwork to make it all come to life. This media package will come to great use at many school events, banquets and PHS newscast. #GoBears

Today marks a day of one of the worst tragedies in US history. PHS would like to thank all of those who served and commemorate this day as a day of remembrance for those lost in the attacks of September 11, 2001. We have high hopes to visit these sights and memorials on our senior trip in May 2023. Truly a great experience for our students to see these memorials in person. One of the pictures below is of a man sitting on a bench. This statue is know as “Double-check”. You will find a link below that tells the story of this statue and it’s now connection to 9/11. Other pictures include the Freedom Tower, 9/11 Memorial, and Pentagon Memorial. http://www.bigapplesecrets.com/2018/09/double-check-only-piece-of-art-to.html?m=1
