PHS is beginning an Art Club to give students an opportunity to explore and practice a variety of art techniques as well as express their own artistic abilities. The club will meet on Wednesday mornings at 7:30 in our library as well as weekly during lunch. Students are pictured here in front of one of our windows painted by 2021 graduate Hannah Warhurst.

Following the holiday break the PHS Bell Schedule will change back to an 8 period day. This decision has been made in order to better prepare our students for achievement testing in the Spring of 2023 as well as enhance our instruction. In order to accommodate the amount of minutes mandated by the Alabama State Department of Education the starting time has to be moved to 7:50. Please have your student on campus and ready for instruction by 7:50 each day. Thank you for your cooperation.

Tonight the PHS Theatre group attended STOMP at the BJCC Concert Hall. Created in 1991, STOMP is a combination of percussion, movement and visual comedy using everyday items like brooms, buckets, suitcases, and more. Thanks to Mr. Farris and the American Theater Guild for providing this opportunity for our students.
PHS and NW Alabama Food Bank Distribution was a success. Thank you to all of those that participated.
PHS will be hosting a food bank on Tuesday, December 6th. 9:00-12:00 Pick-up location behind PHS at the Attie Fleming Bldg. Please do not line up before 9:00. No qualifications necessary. Supplies for 175 families.

Help is wish Phillips Engineering good luck at the South’s BEST Regional Robotics Championship
Hosted at Auburn University. They will compete this weekend, Dec 3-4.
Phillips High School will have their Christmas Production Monday, December 12th, at 6 p.m. in the Attie Fleming Building. The high school band will open the evening with Christmas music followed by the Theatre Group's Christmas Play.
