
MCHS will take a fan bus to the softball regional Tuesday. Seniors will have first choice then the remaining students.
Students will be responsible for buying a ticket on GoFan and paying for food.
The game starts at 11 in Florence.

MCHS will host the softball area tournament tomorrow 5/1. The lady raiders play at 10am. All students who want to attend must have a parent note in order to check out.

We are aware of the social media post concerning a threat made to schools in a neighboring county. To our knowledge, there have been no threats made to Marion County Schools. However, our local law enforcement has been made aware of the situation, and our schools will operate on a soft lockdown today only as a precautionary measure.


There will be a new band member interest meeting tomorrow 4/18 at 5:30 in the band room. This is for grades 6-11 students who are interested in joining the band for next school year.

Tomorrow 4/13 will be cap and gown pictures for seniors at 10am. Also school makeup pictures for grades 7-11 will be tomorrow.

Reminder: there is a 8th grade parent and student meeting tomorrow night 4/12 at 5:30 in the library.
This meeting will cover diploma options, college and career readiness, and courses for next year.

All Marion County Schools will be closed tomorrow (April 7th) for a Weather Day and Monday (April 10th) for a Teacher Work Day. Enjoy your long weekend and stay safe! (School will resume for students on Tuesday, April 11th).

There will be a parent information meeting Wednesday April12 at 5:30 in the library.
This meeting will cover diploma options and graduation requirements for your student that will enter the 9th grade next year.
All parents and students are encouraged to attend.

Report cards were sent home today. A copy of CERT ACT scores were attached to 10th and 11th grade report cards.

💉Parents/Guardians…Immunization clinics will be offered on March 21st to all Marion County School students. This is for 6-12 graders.Other vaccines also available are the MCV (meningococcal) and HPV (human papillomavirus). These are optional vaccines, although some colleges/universities are requiring students to receive the meningococcal if the student will be living on campus/in dorms. Students not receiving required Alabama vaccines may provide the school with medical or religious exemption forms provided by the Marion County Health Department or their physicians office.
Consent forms may be picked up in the MCHS Office and need to be returned to the nurse by Friday, March 17, 2023. 💉

Beta Club had a great trip to the Alabama State Beta Convention, with lots of exciting accomplishments for us to share!
Several of our members won awards, and Caroline Pyron was elected as the new Alabama State Beta Vice President!
Mrs. Beckon was also selected as the Alabama State Sponsor-elect.
MCHS is proud to have this group of students as leaders in our school!

Conference 2023. These outstanding HOSA students from Marion County High School earned the opportunity to compete at state level this year!

National School Breakfast Week celebrates the importance of a nutritious school breakfast in fueling students for success. This special week celebrates the national School Breakfast Program and the many ways it gives students a great start every day.

This Friday, March 3rd, will be a Teacher Workday for all Marion County Schools. Students will not come to school on that day.


Marion County Schools invites parents to a meeting concerning the district wellness policy on March 16, 2023, at 3:30 PM. The meeting is to be held at the Marion County Board of Education office, 188 Winchester Drive, Hamilton, AL.
Healthy choices at school help keep our students healthy and ready to learn. The wellness policy helps our schools create an action plan for nutrition and physical activity at school. Parents can share feedback to help ensure the policy is meeting the needs of the students.
