SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINES APPROACHING
Two very important scholarship deadlines are approaching for Seniors. Bevill State Community College scholarship deadline is February 11th and Northwest-Shoals Community College scholarship deadline is February 15th. The FAFSA must be completed to qualify for need-based scholarships from these colleges. (completion date for Bevill-Feb. 10th, for Northwest, Feb. 14th).

Brilliant School will be closed tomorrow, January 16 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

NEW CHECK-OUT POLICY
Beginning January 3, 2023 a parent, guardian, or another adult on the student’s check-out list will be required to come to the school in order to check the student out. We will no longer accept emails, phone calls, or notes for check-outs. All check-outs are to be in person.

Brilliant Elementary Afterschool program will not meet the week of December 12-16. Afterschool will begin again on January 3, 2023.

Due to potential inclement weather This afternoon, there will be no after school program for Tuesday, November 29.

We appreciate the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and the Winfield and Hamilton Police Departments for their work bringing the drug dogs into Brilliant High School today. Strong community partnerships are vital to keep our schools safe.


Brilliant youth basketball will host Swamp John’s Sunday 11am-1pm at the Brilliant fire department. Plates are $13 and donations are accepted as well!
November 11th is the last day to sign up to play Brilliant Youth Basketball!

ALL SENIORS are to report to Brilliant High School at 7:40 a.m. on Thursday, November 3 to take the ACT WorkKeys.

Brilliant School PTO Fall Festival will be postponed until Tuesday, November 8 from 4-7 p.m.

SENIOR ANNOUNCEMENTS!!
Cap and gown order forms were sent home today. If a senior did not get one, you will need to see Mrs. McCaleb.
All seniors are to report to Brilliant High School at 7:45 on Thursday, November 3rd to take the ACT WorkKeys test.
Friday, November 4th seniors will tour Itawamba Community College. If you need a permission form please see Mrs. McCaleb.
