The HHS DECA chapter recently attended DECA SCDC in Montgomery, AL. These students competed with 1200 other students from across the state in competitions involving Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Business Administration. HHS was well represented with 5 top 10 finishers in their events, and Keslie Stidham finished 2nd in Principles of Marketing.

They will be traveling to Montgomery to compete against DECA students from all over the state. These students are working hard for a chance to represent HHS and Alabama at the DECA International Career Development Conference in April. DECA is the Student Organization for our Business Tech Program. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Tomorrow, January 13th, all Marion County Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay. All buses will run approximately 2 hours later than normal, and classes will begin 2 hours later than usual. This will allow shaded areas more time to clear before school in the morning. Be safe!
