Spring Fling today! If you wish for your child to buy extra snacks, please send extra money for soft drinks, candy, frozen icees, etc. Parents are invited, but children who do not attend HES are not allowed to attend. The only exceptions are workers. Starts at 8:30 a.m.

Our Spring Fling Day at HES is tomorrow. Please send $10 today if you wish for your child to participate. This covers the cost of bouncy slides and a snack consisting of water and chips. Will also have soft drinks and candy for purchase tomorrow (extra cost). Parents are invited.

Reminder that HES will host a presentation for parents on the Literacy and Numeracy Acts in the morning at 11 am in the library. Thanks!

Hamilton Elementary School was recently awarded a Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthy School Grant in the amount of $10,000. The grant has been used to purchase P.E. equipment including 50 bicycles along with seed, plants and other supplies for our school garden. A big thank you to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama.

Parents, if you forgot to send $3 with your child to attend the 101 Dalmatians Musical and you would like for him/her to attend, you can message your child's homeroom teacher before 9:15 this morning to let her know you will send the money tomorrow. Thanks.

We are moving our car riders to the gym now. If your child rides a bus, he/she will arrive home about 15-20 minutes later than normal. Thanks for understanding that our number one priority is the safety of our kids.

The first wave of storms has moved through so we will be dismissing our car riders as soon as the lightning subsides and staff/students can get to the gym. Bus riders will be dismissed as soon as buses arrive here at school.

Due to being under a severe thunderstorm warning, we will hold our students in a safe place until this first line passes through. This is for the safety of the kids and staff. Thanks for understanding during this dismissal delay.

Parents, please click on the link and complete a Title I Parent Survey. Thanks

HES will host a Literacy and Numeracy Acts presentation on May 13tb at 11 am on our campus.

Congratulations to the HES staff and students for having the highest growth in mathematics achievement on the ACAP State Assessments for the years 2022-2024!

Hamilton Elementary was recognized as a National ESEA Distinguished School for exhibiting exceptional student performance and growth at the ALSDE Federal Programs Conference yesterday. Shown presenting the award is ALSDE Federal Programs Director, Dr. Molly Killingsworth. Gary McCarley, Ana Colburn, and Erica Salter accepted the award on behalf of HES.

Since there is no school on Friday, April 18, HES students will have special snack tomorrow instead if you wish for your child to purchase a special snack like he/she normally does on Fridays, you will need to send the appropriate amount of money with him/her to school in the morning. Thanks.

HES has some beautiful tomato and pepper plants for sale. The plants were grown from seed that were planted by our students! We have a good selection of plants to choose from. Plants are $2 and can be picked up between 10 am and 11 am each day by coming to the HES office. Thank you for helping us to sustain our greenhouse.

Due to the threat of severe weather, ALL Marion County Schools will delay 2 hours on Monday, March 31st. All buses will run 2 hours later than usual, and schools will start 2 hours late. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Please be safe!
