Half Day for Students
We would like to congratulate our Junior class for their results on the ACT that all 11th graders take each Spring!

Overall as a class they had the highest ELA, Writing, Reading, and Science score ever at HHS on the ACT. They also had the 2nd highest overall composite score with an 18.25!

We had 69% of our 11th grade students improve their score from the PreACT in the 10th grade!

They improved the composite by 1.78 points, English by 4.48 points, Math by 0.75 points, Reading by 2.66 points, and Science by 1.92 points.

All of these improvements are based off of the PreAct in 10th grade to the ACT in 11th grade.

I am so proud of our students and teachers for their hard work and commitment to be the very best!

As always, it is a great day to be a Panther!

We are gearing up for Alabama Sun Bucks, preloaded cards with a one-time benefit for summer, and need your help to ensure student information is up-to-date. Parents who have changed their address since registration need to contact their child's school and update their address in PowerSchool by February 28th. Keeping records current will help us serve families more efficiently and make sure children have access to nutritious meals. Thank you!

During today’s Board of Education meeting, our school counselors were proudly recognized for their dedication and service to our district. This group plays an essential role in supporting students’ academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and college and career readiness. They wear many hats each day—advocate, mentor, problem-solver, encourager, and leader—often working behind the scenes to ensure every student has the support needed to succeed. We are deeply grateful for their unwavering commitment, compassion, and service to our students and schools. Thank you to our outstanding school counselors for the difference you make every single day!
