What Is Neighborhood Bridges?
Neighborhood Bridges is a national, nonprofit organization that connects communities to meet the urgent needs of students and families. Founded on the belief that local communities are strongest when neighbors help neighbors, Neighborhood Bridges uses a simple but powerful model: schools identify student needs, and community members step up to meet them.
Through a secure online platform, school counselors and staff share specific, real-time needs—such as clothing, hygiene items, school supplies, food, or other essentials—while protecting student privacy. Community members, local businesses, churches, and civic organizations can then respond directly by purchasing and delivering the requested items.
How It Works:
Schools Identify Needs – Trusted school staff submit anonymous requests for students facing hardships.
Needs Are Shared Securely – Requests are posted online without identifying information.
Community Members Respond – Individuals or groups choose a need to fill and deliver items directly to the school.
